The Youth Ministry of The Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd exists to bring young people together in fellowship so they may worship God and act as Disciples of Christ.

Director of Youth Ministries
I was born in Houston in 1984, but grew up mostly in Austin.  I graduated from Westlake High School in 2003.  While at Westlake, I served as a volunteer firefighter for the Westlake Fire Department.  I then attended the University of Texas at Austin, where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Public Relations.  At UT, I became very involved in the Episcopal college ministry at the Episcopal Student Center.  I served on the student vestry for about a year before accepting the position at Good Shepherd.  I began at Good Shepherd in September of 2006, and have enjoyed sharing my faith with the youth of this parish.  I have a real passion for developing faith in young people as they are developing cognitively.  I believe that as the mind matures, it becomes capable of understanding deep theological issues and I enjoy exploring those possibilities.  I also enjoy spending time with family and friends, as well as cheering for the Longhorns in all sports.

Assistant for Youth Ministries
Being born and raised here in Austin, I have been a member of Good Shepherd all my life. I attended Good Shepherd School and graduated from A. N. McCallum High School in 2005. After a year at the University of South Carolina studying music, I moved back home and I am now taking classes at ACC. Growing up I was every involved in the youth programs here at Good Shepherd, and I feel honored to be a part a program that helped me forge a lifelong and meaningful relationship with God and also gave me friendships I still hold on to today.

The EYC Leadership Team was formed to help steer the Youth Ministry at Good Shepherd in a healthy direction with the sharing of ideas and desires of the leaders of the youth ministry.  The Leadership Team consists of leaders from grades 10-12 who have shown dedication to the program through consistent attendance and strong desire to grow in discipleship together.
